This Week @ PacSet: Two Trips Confirmed + Spring Special Recap Part 2

This week: confirmed trips and spring memories.

SUMMER IS ON!

We’ve been in Minnesota following last week’s Anime Detour convention (more about that next week perhaps), but as we’ve been here, we’ve got some good news to report: more confirmed trips!

Our first two summer adventures are officially confirmed to depart, and they are still taking signups! The details:

Hokkaido Adventure 2026

June 28* - July 6, 2026
ASAHIKAWA • MT. KURODAKE • FURANO • SAPPORO • OTARU • LAKE SHIKOTSU

  • ⬆️ Escape the heat in Japan's beautiful northern island

  • 🌷 See iconic flower fields, blue ponds, and Mt. Kurodake

  • 🍜 Explore Sapporo's city life and Otaru's charming port town

  • ♨️ Unwind lakeside with hot springs, boating, and fireworks

$3,395

HOKKAIDO ADVENTURE 2026

$3,395 • June 28-July 6

See that field full of flowers? This is why people in Japan love to head to Hokkaido in the summertime, and that’s just the beginning! The weather is a lot nicer than the humid cities, there’s hot springs, amazing food, Sapporo Beer Gardens… just a lot of really amazing things to see and do. We’ll be visiting the flowers and the mountains, but we’ll also have a ton of time in the amazing city of Sapporo and two nights at a fancy hot spring. That’s the kind of summer you deserve, right? Yeah, we thought so.

And hey, if you want the party to continue, you can also join…

Island Hopper 2026
$300.00

July 7 - 14, 2026
KAGOSHIMA • KIRISHIMA • IBUSUKI • YORON • NAGO • NAHA

  • 🌊 Discover Japan’s beautiful, subtropical Amami and Okinawa islands

  • ♨️ Relax at two luxury resorts: mountain hot spring and beachside

  • 🐠 Snorkel on a magical, vanishing beach in beautiful Yoron Island

  • ✈️ Seamlessly fly, sail, and explore between islands and cities

$3,595

ISLAND HOPPER 2026

$3,595 • July 7-July 14

If you still want your summer vacation to have, well, summer vacation vibes, we’ve got you covered. Two resorts, magical beaches you have to see to believe (like the one on Yoron Island pictured here), and even a little time in Kagoshima City to have some of the local cuisine, get buried in a sand hot spring, and feel spoiled. It’s a pretty remarkable journey – and we’d love to have you along!

Can’t pick between the two? Have a lot of PTO to burn? Guess what: you can do both trips for a discount!

COMBO: HOKKAIDO ADVENTURE AND ISLAND HOPPER: $6,490

  • SIXTEEN nights (eighteen days) of travel to some of Japan’s most exciting regions.

  • THREE resort properties where you’ll be able to relax a whole heckuva lot. You can book ten massage appointments if you like; it’s your vacation after all!

  • You get all the stuff included on both trips PLUS an extra night in between for a whole $500 less! Mathematically this should not be possible, but it is.

Sign up for either trip and then let us know you’d like to do both, and we’ll take care of the rest.

SPRING SPECIAL 2026 RECAP PART 2~

Halfway through our adventure, we hit the second, “chill” part of our adventure, which began with us hopping a scenic train that whisked us south east to the Ise-Shima region and the port area of Toba. We checked in at our onsen (hot spring) resort overlooking the massive collection of oyster farms (yes, they were delicious) and kicked back before a massive kaiseki dinner and the first of our onsen room parties.

Of course, if we’re going to Ise, we’d be remiss if the didn’t visit the Ise Naiku Shrine (Japan’s holiest shinto shrine) to pay tribute to Amaterasu before checking out the shrine environs for souvenirs and delicious treats. We hadn’t had our fill of oysters yet, so we helped ourselves to oysters three ways (fried/grilled/steamed) and did a little shopping before more relaxation time at the onsen.

Our next day took us across to the Atsumi Peninsula and Tahara City, where we got into the main attraction for our journey: the cherry blossoms! Tahara’s blossoms were already in season, so we took some time to stroll and admire the colors (amazing). Along the way, we encountered a massive, massive number of turtles along the river, most of whom were just chilling in the sunshine. Seriously, there were SO MANY of them. After trying to count our turtle friends, we headed east to another park to explore before arriving at our final resort of the trip, on the shores of Lake Hamana.

Lake Hamana near Hamamatsu City was in fine form on the last full day of our adventure, which we spent among the blossoms again as we visited two flower parks. We also took in the views from the ropeway, snacked on park snacks, and even stopped to pick some strawberries. While it was nice to run around the city for the first half of our adventure, it was great to follow it up with four days of time oriented towards just appreciating the kind of beauty that makes Japan special at this time of year!

SURVEYS ONGOING

As most of you know, we’re currently running a survey for new guests, alumni, and everyone in between! More about prizes and goodies for this one in the week to come, but over the next few weeks, we’re going to pluck an interesting comment we’ve seen from a survey response and respond to it here. The first of these will come out next week!

NEXT WEEK…

Some details about an unorthodox sale of sorts that will be far more relevant to our friends in the Southern California area. Stick around!
