What Makes PacSet Different?
A different take on Japan. If you’re looking for an alternative to the tightly-scheduled, one-size-fits-all, “Tokyo and Kyoto” tours – or just want something different – you’ve come to the right place. We base our journeys around themes that also allow for exploration and customization that the typical “tour” doesn’t. Whether you’re a solo traveler or a group of friends, we’re not just here to show you the expected, but to help you discover more of this amazing country without the pressures of a traditional tour structure.
Empowering exploration. Our guides don’t lecture you for hours on end or stuff you onto a bus the whole day, because this isn’t like a traditional tour. At every stop, we tell you what you need to know, and then you can choose to explore on your own, stick with a guide, or ask the guide anything you’re curious about before venturing out. We also work with every guest to teach them how to maximize their time in Japan, so they feel comfortable going off on their own. It’s like traveling with a really knowledgable friend – and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Exploring the Under-Explored. Sure, Tokyo’s great, but it’s definitely not for everyone. The idea that “anyone’s first trip to Japan HAS to include Tokyo” is nonsense, and our creative, acclaimed trips are laser-focused on taking our guests to unique destinations way beyond the expected – and offering plenty of time to explore when we get there!
Pre-Trip Prep. You know all those little cultural things that trip travelers up? PacSet leads private pre-trip Q&A sessions, provides personalized guide books, a week-long wellness course to prepare you for the journey, and more to make sure every potential problem is solved before you even depart.
