This Week @ PacSet: PRICE DROPS + Only SIX spots left on Taste of Japan & Soul of Autumn!

PRICE DROPS! YEAH, REALLY!

Among all the uncertainty in the travel industry right now, it’s a rare day when we get the chance to drop prices a little bit. Friends, today is that fabulous day. I know it’s Monday, and I know we aren’t at the club, but it’s time to drop it low(er) - for Anime De-Tour 2026 AND Fests and Quests 2025!

NEW PRICES:

Anime De-Tour 2026 AlphaTokyo & Yokohama • Jan. 31/Feb. 1 – Feb. 9, 2026 • $3,795 → $3,395
Anime De-Tour 2026 BetaYokohama, Sapporo, Hakodate, Morioka, Ashinomaki Onsen • Feb. 6/Feb. 7 – Feb. 18, 2026 • $4,795 → $4,595
Fests and Quests 2025 • Tokyo, Kamakura, Yokohama, Kinugawa Onsen • $3,795 → $3,595

ABOUT THE TRIPS

Fests and Quests is a brand new concept for us; a “best-of-the-city” trip with a hot spring visit, a trip to the best alternative art event in Japan, and a scavenger hunt. You heard me - a scavenger hunt. Why? Because you’re the kind of traveler who doesn’t want to do the same social-media-algorithm-fueled crap that every other tourist that visits Tokyo does. You’re better than that, right? Yeah, we thought so.

Anime De-Tour 2026 is the seventh edition of our flagship trip for the Anime Detour community. This trip has been going for a long time, which is why this year we’ve added a second trip to cover the basics for those who haven’t done them before. It’s two trips! And yes, we know that’s confusing and are going to be redoing the webpages for both soon since… it’s confusing. But hey, they’re both cheaper now, so if that’s your cup of tea, sign up!

Only Six Spots left for TASTE OF JAPAN NIHONKAI & SOUL OF AUTUMN

We are down to the last six spots for both Taste of Japan Nihonkai and Soul of Autumn. Whoah.

If you are interested in joining either of our exploration-centric, super-fun fall adventures, it’s time to jump on board before the gates close and this plane pulls away. ;)

Taste of this year is loaded; we’ve got festivals, we’ve got the freshest fish you can imagine, we have cool artisans using traditional ingredients usually reserved for sake and miso on stuff like bread and cheese, we’ve got five nights at hot springs (yeah, you heard me, FIVE)… wow, guys. Just wow.

On the other side of the country, Soul of Autumn is bigger than ever (14 nights, y’all. FOURTEEN). Sail gorges, marvel at the fall colors, cruise by the seaside on a scenic train, and enjoy the best of the north, from the urban centers of Sendai and Sapporo to laid-back locales like Akita, Aomori, and Hakodate.

HOW THE SAUSAGE IS MADE, OMAKASE EDITION

The final chapters of our Omakase 2025 summary videos dropped last week! Among them: the video above, in which Evan goes into detail about how the trip is built and all the wacky happenings around running a “mystery journey.” Oooh.

Next week: More news about more new stuff. We love new stuff around here.
