This Week @ PacSet: Pawprint Charity News
Bit of a slow news week around here (don’t worry, more goodies coming soon…), but we do have some bits and pieces of stuff to share with you all…
PAWPRINT CHARITY NEWS!
We’re currently ramping up prep for this year’s Pawprint Pathways trip. We dropped a brand new video about the trip last week (you can view it on the trip page here), but this week, we have a little something more important to discuss.
Every time we have operated Pawprint, we’ve made a $100 donation for every guest on the trip to a local shelter, charity, or nonprofit to benefit pet adoption and community support programs for animals and unhoused pets. This year, we’re going to be donating that money to Best Friends Los Angeles.
After last year’s devastating fires in the Palisades and Altadena, the entire community was affected – especially many animals, who also found themselves unhoused. The community banded together to support relief efforts, distributing pet food and litter along with other supplies. However, recovery is not a sprint; it’s a marathon. Best Friends has not only been part of ongoing support for shelter pets and animals, but is also a leader in the NKLA (No Kill LA) initiative to keep unhoused animals from being euthanized. That’s a cause we can definitely get behind!
Aside from the donation from trip guests, we’ll be organizing a little something else for charity in the weeks to come! Watch this space for details. In the meantime, hit the link above to learn more about Best Friends LA!
